Legacy of the First Sun

Prototype

First-person, open-world survival horror in an industrial science fiction setting. Nyx 65 orbits no star. Someone gave it a sun.

What defines it.

  • Day and night.

By day you search for parts. By night, something leaves the caves.

    Day and night.

Day: 15.8 h. Dusk: 1.4 h. Night: 9.2 h. The caves hold the heat of the ground below. The surface drops below −40 °C.

  • The caves.

Do you go in by day, with them inside, or by night, with them out?

    The caves.

They are small and optional. They hold what is worth the most. There is no safe hour to go in.

  • The ecosystem.

Nobody designed it. It sorted itself out, by eating.

    The ecosystem.

Every specimen carries surgical marking and a batch tag. You learn who eats whom. The best sign of danger is silence.

Nyx 65 orbits no star. Someone gave it a sun. Someone built here, worked here, and left.

Your ship is sunk off the coast. The parts you need are scattered across an industrial complex the forest has eaten. The PA system still calls shift 1 every dawn. Nobody answers.

In-development prototype for PC, made with Unity.

Devlog

Nothing happens behind closed doors.

Every build, every wrong turn and every fix gets written down. If you want to see how a world gets made, the devlog is the place.
